Project Malaysia internet-Insurance Agency Network…. New breath for agents?
I must be quite a relieved man, having spent the last 5 days single handedly (with bare hands) got the prototype site for Project – MIIA Network running. You may want to check this site out: http://malaysiainsurance.info/Project-MIIA 
Because of this very busy time of the year, I have to burn the midnight oil to complete this task, and as expected things can look abit messy. Also point to note the front-page slider image-show somehow does not work with IE but looks fantastic with Firefox.
We are currently behind time since having targeted 1st October 2009 to be the official launch date of our iPortal. Again we revised it to 1 November but I would like to conclude now, this can only be a reality after Christmas! Nevertheless I am elated with new learning curves having acquired along this challenging time.
So you may be asking me… what is this thing called “The Malaysia internet-Insurance Agency (MIIA) Network”? Well… to put it simply…. this is about reinventing and reconstructing a new but viable eCommerce platform where we can house and further enhance our agents’ capabilities in internet marketing and business development. We want to recruit a maximum of 200 agents and transform their business development capabilities not only in “Offline” success but also increased prowess in their online marketing networking. The Project team has targeted a period of 24 months to groom this batch of agents from zero to hero in the internet marketing arena…..For the rest of the “cerita” please refer to the relevant site.

If you are an expert in WordPress opensource blogging platform and posseses some capabilities in relevant script programming, please…. also write in to us. We should be most happy to talk to you. You may ask, “Why wordpress?” Because it is the second best Content management system (CMS) overall just behind Drupal! And Drupal…. (not sure whether this sounds Indian!), well our agents would most likely ended up screwed pissed….. with their highly sophisticated format.

Would you care to explain this concept further and if it is viable for Vietnam’s insurance industry?
Concept in a nutshell is very simple – just a matter of getting agents to embrace the e-commerce and social networking tools. If intermediaries can embrace and leverage on the powerful side of such tools, the eventual growth to their business can be magnificent. As these are already clearly explained, do read the contents. As for Vietnam, I believe preparing for this should be a right move moving forward, but success would take time and patient is the name of the game!
Does your organisation provides training in WordPress usage including blogging for business? If yes what are the charges?
We are only a group of insurance practitioners coming together to provide some write ups for the benefits of those who are very much part of the insurance industry. Thus we are not any registered organisation. In respect of wordpress and training relating thereto…. we do provide and at the moment is free for agents who have registered with us for the internet-insurance agents’ project. Yes, you can write and our emails are already stated in the blog. Give us some ideas about yourself especially working experience and education.
