You can try company like Kurnia, but I am not too sure if they are still writing this class of business. Anyway if this is not possible then try MMIP. You can approach Uni.Asia or Multi-purpose. I am not too sure if the other insurers are able to provide you with such services at this moment but you can check with your usual agent, he or she may be able to assist.
It is a great thing this SEO made easy is a good read. It has enabled me to understand both the on-site and off-site SEO requirements. Thanks again for the free stuff.
I would like to become an agent of MMIP. So far I am doing service for my customer to get 3rd party insurance from MMIP as return they paid me some service. Can I register as Internet agent with MMIP
Dear Lee,
Currently the MMIP does not have any provision for appointment of agent. You would have to deal or assist your clients in the usual manner that you have been doing currently.
All insurers / takaful operators are agents of MMIP as directed by Bank Negara. Agents as they are now cannot be a registered agents of MMIP – so far POS Malaysia is a registered agent. However agents can assist their customers by providing the necessary agency services to them…. there be no commission BUT then no one can stop you from negotiating a small fee from your customers for assisting them with the placement. Buying this MMIP cover can be quite tedious especially if you need to fill up a very “long-winded” proposal form and get witness to the form as well… Well, just talk to your insurer / takaful operator, they should be able to help you otherwise email me at malaysianinsurance@gmail.com
As agent of MMIP there is no commission, you would have to provide the services to your customers free of charge if necessary by bringing all relevant infor, documents and payment to the insurer’s customer services counter. However, if the customer is prepared to pay you a fee, by all means thank him or her as this is beyond the normal commission structure but then who want to provide free service…. As for the training as an internet insurance agent, let us consolidate our R&D on this subject. Once we have develop the relevant syllabus then we shall proceed to build a community who are agents… but currently do visit our site at: http://www.facebook.com/miiagroup
No issue Irene, all you need to do is to talk to your insurance companies BUT then you do not get any commission for selling the MMIP cover. Why you may ask… simply put, the insurers are also agent for MMIP and with 6.5% THEY are not able to allocate any commission for you. However, you can negotiate a fee with your customers for assisting them and for all the necessary “leg works”, which I think they are more than happy to give, perhaps in the region of RM25 to 150 depending on the situation.
However if you still have a problem with your existing insurers, do email me…..
You can become an agent via your insurance company / takaful operator that you are currently representing. However, there is NO commission for doing this! The insurer / takaful operator merely earns 6.5% for providing such services (effective since 1st May 2011). But then even without commission from the insurer, you can still negotiate some fee from the customer(s) if they are willing for the legwork and filling up the thick set of proposal form…. cheers.. and if you still want to represent my company you are welcome to do so… do contact me.

Dear Syvia,
Buying insurance for your lorry is slightly more difficult now but then if this is a C permit type and insurance is on comprehensive then you should not be having much of a problem. The only issue is when you have a very old lorry or having met with numerous accidence over the past three years. Try checking this out with your agents, they should be able to help you.
